What is Sucré Couture?

Sucré Couture is a Bay Area-born, Black-owned demi-fine jewelry brand founded by Kimberly Fomby Jefferson. We make 18K gold-plated, waterproof, non-tarnish jewelry rooted in 80s and 90s Black culture and femininity. As seen in British Vogue, Essence, Refinery29, NY Mag, and Byrdie. Is Sucré Couture jewelry actually waterproof?

Yes. Every piece is electroplated for added protection and built to handle everyday water exposure—sweat, rain, hand-washing, and light activity. We recommend removing jewelry before prolonged submersion (e.g., in pools, hot tubs, or long baths) and before applying perfume, lotion, or harsh chemicals. Does 18K gold-plated jewelry tarnish?

All gold-plated jewelry will show wear over time — that's the nature of plating. What sets Sucré Couture apart is our electroplating process, which adds a protective layer that significantly extends the life of each piece. With proper care, your jewelry will maintain its brilliance for years.

Will your jewelry turn my skin green?

No. Our jewelry is hypoallergenic and plated over brass or stainless steel bases depending on the piece. We do not use nickel. If you have a known metal sensitivity, check the individual product page for material details or contact us before purchasing.

When will my order ship?

Orders are typically processed within 48 hours of receipt. Please allow 7–10 business days for fulfillment. Shipping times can be extended during peak seasons or around holidays — we'll always communicate any delays as promptly as possible.

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you'll receive a USPS tracking number at the email address provided at checkout. International orders ship via DHL and may take up to 21 days. Please note that international tracking may be limited once a package reaches its destination country.

What shipping options do you offer?

We offer USPS First Class with Signature, USPS Priority with Signature, and DHL Express International. Free shipping is available on domestic orders over $95.

Can I cancel or modify my order?

Cancellations must be submitted within 24 hours of purchase, before an order has shipped. Email hello@sucrecouture.com immediately with your name and order number. Once a shipping label has been generated, cancellations cannot be accepted. We are unable to add items to an existing order, but we're happy to create a second order with no additional shipping charge.

What is your return and exchange policy?

All sales are final. We accept exchanges within 7 days of delivery for store credit. Email hello@sucrecouture.com with your name and order number to initiate an exchange. A $10 exchange fee covers return shipping. Full details are on our Store Policies page.

Do you have a physical storefront?

We do not have a standalone storefront, but our jewelry is carried in-store at Wolf & Badger in West Hollywood, CA, and online at Nordstrom.com and WolfandBadger.com. See all stockists on our Stockists page.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes. Digital gift cards are available in amounts of $50 or more and are delivered to the email address provided at the time of purchase. Gift cards are non-refundable.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, Diners Club) and PayPal.

How do I request a restocked item?

Visit our item request page to submit a restock request. We consider every request, but we cannot guarantee availability.

Do you offer wholesale?

We do not currently offer wholesale opportunities.

What is your customer service policy?
